LATEST SELECTED GRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECT.
Discovering the Heartbeat of Mexico.
The project’s original objective was to promote a Mariachi Masterclass by the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Baylor University. Their core message was to explore the traditional passion of Mariachi music and learn its hidden elements in a marvelous presentation that displayed true Mexican heritage! As part of their story, they claimed that Mariachi is the perfect embodiment of tradition we all know and love.
The approach to this graphic execution relied on “mixing and matching” or “taking literally” concept strategies, according to Pricken’s Creative Advertising. Ideas and Techniques from the World’s Best Campaigns book. The shape of the heart took the shape of the guitar soundhole formed by a beautifully coordinated flow of strings shaped by the flight of Mexican folklore birds found in traditional arts and crafts in Central Mexico.
